Dr. Lowe-Thomas received her psychology training from California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. Over the past 7 years in community mental health, she gained extensive clinical experience working with children, adolescents, families, adults, and couples from a broad range of ethnic identities, cultural practices, and national origins. She has had successful outcomes treating mental health conditions to support client’s goals. Dr. Lowe-Thomas draws upon traditional and evidenced-based therapies as well as mind-body-spirit and holistic practices. She incorporates Family-based therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral therapies (CBT, Trauma Focused-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based therapies. Prior to her psychology training, she contributed to the business sector working in a similar capacity to improve human relations; collaborating and facilitating positive change in businesses, leaders, and associates through value identification, goal setting, and alignment of actions toward desired change.
Dr. Lowe-Thomas values her role as a daughter, sister, mother, wife, friend, colleague, life-long learner, and advocate for mental health.
